Villa Le Maschere is located about 30 minutes north of Florence.  It was built in the second half of the 16th century.  The villa has a unique and important place in Italian history including visits from Pope Pius IX in 1857 as well as kings, noblemen, and artists.  It is a relaxing retreat that allows one to escape from the busy streets of Florence.  

On the grounds of Villa Le Maschere lies the main villa (shown above) and the Chini Pavilion.  The ceremony and reception will take place at the main villa, so we recommend you request to stay in the main villa.  Do not worry if your room happens to be in the Chini Pavilion, it is just a minute walk away from the main villa.  

To view more information about the villa, you may go to villalemaschere.it.  The villa has 65 rooms total.  Each of the rooms on the three floors of the main villa are different.  You will find general descriptions of the rooms on the villa's website.  If a particular room strikes your fancy, you may make a special request to reserve the room.  The earlier you reserve, the better your chances are of obtaining the room you desire.

The villa has offered a group rate for the wedding.  The rates are as follows:

• Elegant Room at euro 175,00 per room per night (single occupancy)
• Elegant Room at euro 195,00 per room per night (double occupancy)
• Junior Suite at euro 330,00 per room per night

In order to book a room for any of the rates listed above, please send an email to eventi@villalemaschere.it and mention the Herrera/Gibson wedding.  Camilla at the villa will be handling most of the requests.  The villa requires a 30% deposit to hold the room.
