Getting to Italy

The villa is located 30 minutes outside of the city Florence.  The nearest airport is the Florence Peretola (FLR) airport.  Other airports within a reasonable distance are:

- Pisa

-Bologna

-Venice

- Rome

The airport in Florence is about 25 minutes from the villa.  There will be friends and family with rental cars willing to help if you need a ride to the villa from the airport.  Please contact Lee or Janet if you need airport pick up.  For those of you who have booked a Junior Suite or a Suite at Villa Le Maschere, the villa will provide a transportation to and from the airport free of charge.

Alternative Accommodations

Villa Le Maschere is owned by UNA Hotels and Resorts.  There is a golf resort 18 minutes from the villa called Poggio dei Medici offering rates as low as 140 Euro per night.  Because both properties are owned by UNA, they have offered a shuttle from the golf resort to the villa at no cost.  Please contact Lee, Janet, or the villa directly if you need this service.

If you decide to stay in the city of Florence, the villa provides a shuttle bus to and from the city center.

Lee and Janet's Travel Plans

We plan to stay the night of May 21st and May 22nd at Villa Le Maschere.  After the wedding we are renting an apartment in the center of Florence from May 24th through May 26th.  We plan to sightsee and experience as much of Florence as we possibly can in those several days.  We will definitely be around to visit with family and friends during that period of time!  After the 26th, we are commencing our honeymoon by heading south down the Amalfi Coast for a wonderful and serene retreat.
